Grateful for Oprah

May 28, 2011

As we all know, Oprah has finished out her television show. Many people have already written about her. Some people loved her, some people found her annoying. I found her to be inspiring.

I have learnt so much off her. Far too much for one post but Oprah gets a ‘I’m grateful nod..’ from me as her voice has been a constant in my life. I am grateful to her for understanding me. No she doesn’t know me personally but she still seems to speak to me as if she knew my thoughts and concerns. She soothed my doubts and told me to live in the moment.

It is very hard to describe to you how I am feeling but lets just say today I am grateful for Oprah.

Can I just say one thing that makes me sad? I am sad that I will never get to be in Oprah’s audience. I always had a dream I would and when she come to Australia I thought it was going to be my chance. Alas my number was not drawn out of the very big hat of audience tickets. Never mind. I am sure there is a reason why. Just haven’t figured it out yet.

I am also grateful for a working heater. Our central heater broke down this week and it was a very cold wait to get it fixed. I am so grateful for warmth!

I am linking up to Maxabella’s I’m grateful for… blog hop.

I love Oprah too!! If that makes me daggy, so be it. I miss her already – and I never had the time to watch an entire show. It was just nice to have her on in the background!!

I’m with you on the heaters! Also with Oprah – her last episode was inspirational in my opinion. Bit like a sermon, but inspiring nonetheless!

That last show of hers… I know some have already put her down, put it down. But if you stop still and listen with an open heart and mind, she has left an incredible gift. The full stop she put on it was exceptional and confirmed everything I already knew to be true. Wonderful affirmation to know that one of the most influential people of our time speaks (has always spoken) from such a true and real place. But all people really want to see and hear is that she is lining her own pockets. Sigh. It is lost on some.
