Things I Know: Hug Your Loved Ones!

July 15, 2011

I cannot believe it is Friday again… time for Things I Know with Shae from Yay for Home.

Things I Know this week:

– Life is unpredictable, you never know when you will lose a loved one so please make sure your loved ones know you love them! A friend of mine lost her mum suddenly recently and it brings home the awful reminder that anyone can go anytime.

– I have a terrible memory sometimes, I forgot the Toy Sales ended Wednesday and its toddlers 2nd birthday next month – whoops. Thankfully Target’s Toy Sale starts on Thursday.

– I am sick of people forgetting I am a coeliac and won’t offer me gluten free food even when I tell them several times that’s what I need. Especially those in the customer service industry. I deserve to eat too.

– I wish I was in the tv show ‘The Circle‘ today as all the audience members got things like a baby capsule, pram, baby clothes, monitor and loads more to celebrate Chrissie Swan’s last day before she went on maternity leave. ‘The Circle’ did an Oprah and gave each audience member $7000 worth of baby goods. Trouble is I am not pregnant so really not applicable to me. How exciting for them though.

– My 6 year old son is far too clever for his own good as he can read everything I write now. I mean everything! But we are proud of him as he is so clever. Love you son. xx

That’s it from me, hope you all have had a good week

Oh I never get to watch the Circle but how awesome is that??!!

Good reminder to love on the loved ones too. Life is full of unexpected stuff.

    Have a great weekend!

Wish I was in The Circle audience too today. Had major audience envy!! hehe!
So true that we need to appreciate people while they’re here as well. Big hugs to your friend. x

I always mean to watch The Circle but forget or only catch the end of it due to the children (pffft, they ruin everything, except the cuddles, the cuddles only get better). I’m glad I didn’t see it, I would have had major audience envy as well!

I can’t believe that gluten-free is still an issue for people to understand! That really pisses me off for you! Personally, if I have anyone new coming over I always check what they will and won’t have because there is nothing ruder to a uest then not considering their needs. Grrrr! And as for the service industry, really???

Love the reading thing. We are just having trouble with the spelling things outloud. Miss 4 can’t read or spell yet, but she always seems to know what we are spelling out. No more secrets for you!

Hugs on people forgetting you are coeliac. My middle is super sensitive to colours and preservatives and my Inlaws seem to forget this all the time. Drives me crazy!
