Things I Know: Bloggers Brunch and Blogopolis

July 22, 2011

Its Friday and time for linking up to Yay For Home and letting you all know what I know.

Things I Know:

– this blog post is late as I chose a nap over blogging. Am really glad I did.

– Next weekend will be busy as Friday I am going to Melbourne’s Bloggers Brunch hosted by Kids In Business. Are you going? See you there. Am leaving the little one with my Mother-in-Law so I can concentrate on the speakers and meet more people.

– Next Saturday is Nuffnang Blogopolis Blogger’s Conference so I am looking forward to going to that. Will be awesome to hear the speakers, meet even more people and catching up with blogging friends.

– now a squeamish warning ahead, there is a mice plague in my area (and no I don’t live rural) and our shops are all out of mice traps and bait. Thankfully we are looking after my parents dog at the moment and she kills mice. She doesn’t eat them though but at least she kills them.

– and for the gluten free folk, Woolworths has some gluten free specials this week, not huge savings but at least they are a little cheaper. Click here to check out the catalouge online.

and that is it for me this week. Shae from Yay for Home as said there is no Things I Know next week so I will see you the week after.

For now though, what do you know?

Ugh we live Rural and have had a mouse plague as well. My husband put steel wool in all the nooks and crannies on advice from my washing/volunteer lady and we’ve been spared ever since!

Glad to hear Woolies have some slightly cheaper GF specials at the moment. I was surprised when I was asked today whether I had a Coeliac card when shopping at Coles (I had a few GF items in the trolley for my husband). Turns out the checkout operator was coeliac too – very understanding, a nice change from the norm! Enjoy Blogopolis!

Oh no, mice! We had a problem a few years ago… I could hear them in the walls at night so awful!! I ended up calling in a pest control guy who put baits in the ceiling and under the sink (where they were getting in) – 2 days later, no more mice – best $120 I ever spent!

I hope the mice aren’t too bad at your place, and that you enjoy your blogging events 🙂

Some days I wish I could choose a nap, but usually there is already someone napping in my bed or the cries of “Muuuuum!” are too loud, so yay you for getting a nap!

    See you next week! 🙂

I know that I will miss catching up with everyone at these blogging events this week especially as it’s in my home town, but I also know that there will other occasions to see people so it’s not the end of the world. Hope you have a great time!
