Things I Know

September 16, 2011

Yay for Fridays! Do you love them as much as I do? I particularly love them when hubby finishes early and the weekend gets off to a good start. I am linking up to Things I Know with Shae from Yay For Home.

Things I Know this week are:

  • This time next week it will be almost school holiday time and I have no idea what to do with my boys.
  • Except to go to the Irresistible Gluten Free Show of course!
  • I am so impressed with my son’s school. They hold parent information talks about different ways you can help your children. This week I went to one that was about having a resilient child and it was very interesting.
  • Not to go through my Google Reader when I am very tired. I managed to mark all the unread posts in there as read… very annoying as there was over 1000 unread ones in there. Yes I was going to read most of them!
  • I hugged both my boys a little harder this week.

and that’s all I know.

What do you know?

Ohh hate the accidental click of MAAR! I know a secret tho, if you are on a computer you can click from Show: new items to Show all, and I think on my phone’s browser there is a “read items” category which is VERY helpful for the accidental loss of something from the new items. I came over from YFH’s TIK 🙂

I am looking forward to the school holidays as all 3 of my kiddies are off to visit there grandparents for the holidays. I am looking forward to the peace and quit, but i’m not looking forward to the night times when i have no one to tuck in. I guess i could always try tucking hubby in. hehe 🙂 xxx

Oh my goodness, I clicked through and it was to one of your older posts about announcing your bub’s birth from 2009. I had a slight panic attack that I’d missed something!! LOL!
A post I read this week has made me hug my princesses all the more tighter this week. xx

I got the link about your birth in 2009 too… I’m so excited about the GF show. Not gf but wheat free and need some inspiration. Glad there are others who let google reader clock up lots of posts! Mine’s at about 600 now and I have plans to read them… I think!

I’m late getting to this week’s posts due to events at my daughter’s future school. I love them as they have a great readiness program and invite all the future pupils to take part in their activities too, which is a great community developer I think (and helps raise more funds for them too, no doubt!)

I would love to learn more about resilient children. my daughter has become a lot more emotional and emotionally dependent lately and I am wondering what more i could do to help her in this regard.

    School holidays are scary …

I don’t feel educated enough to do a post on resilient children but I can send you some links and suggested resources if you like?

I like the idea of teacher’s giving out valuable information like that. As they always say, “It takes a community to raise a child…”
This Irresistable Gluten Free Show sounds interesting ! I’ll have to look into it 🙂

I know today is the Carnival of Flowers parade & I should NOT have decided to go down town to the library. What was I thinking?? Half the world has turned up. Good for the town though.

I am slowly getting things planned, trouble is the people we usually have playdates with are going away. Lucky them!
