Things I Know

November 18, 2011

Yippee yi ay it is Friday! Happy Friday to you, you and you.

It is Things I Know time so I am linking up to the wonderful Shae from Yay for Home

Things I Know this week are:

  • I am a very naughty blogger again and have forgotten to reply to the lovely comments I have received lately, I am going to try and do better at this
  • I am very happy to have been able to go to the 3rd Bloggers Brunch today
  • I am very sad I missed meeting and saying hello to Kellie from Three Li’l Princesses while at the Bloggers Brunch but I did talk to fab people so thats something
  • I switched from Firefox to Chrome this week and I like it. My computer kept going slow on Firefox, very frustrating but on Chrome it is all good.
  • I tweeted last night about finding out that my son’s school has an incentive prize each week for the kids having rubbish free lunches. What  a great way to educate the kids and parents thinking about being rubbish free. The prize? A McDonalds voucher. So not happy about this – its all kinds of wrong.
  • I am addicted to Coke Zero Vanilla. Yes I know its bad but its sooo good.
What do you know this week?

My Miss 5 does Little Aths, and I’m pretty sure that there is Mc Donalds all over the calendar as they are a supporter. Oh, and we got a voucher in our sign up bag. At the same time, who else has the money to put into what is essentially a volunteer organization? And yes, after a particularly long session we have stopped at Maccas to get lunch after competing, so I can’t be quick to sneer and complain about it. It doesn’t make sense, it’s not right, but there, sadly, aren’t very many other options for getting support for many good causes that need funding.

(I’m trying not to defend Macca’s really, I would prefer not to go there, but I will support the causes. That said, why isn’t a certificate reward enough?)
