Listmania: Things I Love and Dislike About Summer
January 23, 2013
nellbe
As per last week, I am joining in Deb at Home Life Simplified’s weekly Listmania Linky. This week’s lists are all about what I love about summer and what I dislike.
Things I Love About Summer
- All the best fruit is in season, while I cannot eat too much of it personally, the rest of the family can and I love seeing the fridge and fruit bowl full of fruit.
- Wearing summer clothes reduces the laundry pile.
- The house gets a constant airing from the windows being open.
- Love that the days last longer with daylight savings.
- It’s Christmas Time
Things That Aren’t So Great About Summer
- My 7 year old’s allergies flare up (hayfever, eczema and asthma)
- Extreme heat, it’s just nasty
- Having to put sunscreen on every time you step out the door.
- Flies and Mozzies
- Threat of Bushfires is much higher
If you would love to do your own list and linky up then the linky goes up Monday.

I love all the Summer fruit too & I totally agree about the laundry.
On the other hand I LOATHE daylight savings. (I used to live in Sydney.) So glad we don’t have it up here in QLD. The days are too long & hot just normally without adding another hour to it at the end of the day.
Yes I’d guess the heat you have is more oppressive than what we have, so I get where you are coming from.
thought i already commented ugh – i am with you on the laundry and fruit! and yuck on the bugs!
Yes yuk on the bugs! Thanks for commenting 🙂
