The Week That Was: School Holidays and Chutney Making

April 12, 2013

It is now the last day of school holidays for us in Victoria. It has been a quiet two weeks for us, there was Easter, an illness and just saving for America. We did manage a few fun things though – lots of trips to the library, some walks and playing in the park – it has been alright weather for us but I didn’t take any photos of that.

Easter Egg Haul from Easter BunnyEaster bunny came and visited the boys and here is some of what he gave them.

Easter Egg HuntThe boys also got an Easter Egg Hunt from us (we went to an organised one and they missed out on finding any 😦 so hubby and I did one in our backyard for them)

Ghiradella ChocI found Ghiradelli Chocolate in Coles during Easter, I kept meaning to buy it but kept forgetting. One day there was one left on the shelf so I nabbed it. From the ingredients and the research online it looks to be gluten free but I am yet to try it.

Diary of Wimpy Kid DVDSome movie watching during the ‘sickie’ days

Lego PlayingLots of Lego playing

Pasta Meatball BakeSome cooking – my eldest helped me make this Pasta and Meatball Bake

TomatoesI bought a box of tomatoes

Tomato Chutneyand made some Tomato Chutney (with the help from a lovely friend – I had never made it before!)

I hope you’ve had a lovely week!

PS I have an Eskal Food Pack of Goodies to giveaway at the moment – check it out to enter!

I’ve never made tomato chutney, but I have made tomato jam. Now I totally have a craving.
